Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 14 March 2026
1. OVERVIEW
Looping EduTech is committed to making our platform, app, and website accessible and inclusive for all learners, regardless of ability, learning style, or background. Accessibility is not an afterthought for Looping — it is foundational to our model.
The core philosophy of the Looping platform is that every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed. Rather than penalising learners for not getting something right the first time, Looping is designed around iterative, supported practice — learners loop through content, guided by AI-driven NPC interactions and real-time feedback, until they demonstrate understanding and capability. This approach inherently supports learners with diverse needs, including those who may require additional time, repetition, or alternative methods of engagement.
This statement covers accessibility across three environments:
-
The Looping website (looping.au)
-
The Looping companion app (web, iOS, and Android)
-
The Looping immersive VR platform
2. WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY (LOOPING.AU)
The Looping website has been developed in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines at Level AA, with a 96/100 Lighthouse accessibility score. The website's content has been adapted to work with assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Specific measures implemented on the website include:
-
Language and content order clearly defined across all pages
-
Clear and consistent heading structures throughout
-
Alternative text provided for all images
-
Colour combinations that meet required contrast ratios
-
Reduced use of motion to support users with vestibular or sensory sensitivities
-
All videos, audio, and downloadable files made accessible where possible
Limitations: While we strive for full website accessibility, certain platform constraints prevent modification of some system-generated elements, such as background video tags and form progress indicators. We continue to review and improve these areas.
3. LOOPING APP ACCESSIBILITY
The Looping app (available on web, iOS, and Android) has been designed with inclusivity in mind across its interface, content delivery, and authentication flows.
4. CURRENT ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES IN THE APP INCLUDE:
-
High contrast dark interface with cyan and magenta accent colours meeting WCAG contrast requirements
-
Scalable text that respects device font size settings
-
Screen reader compatible UI components throughout the authentication, dashboard, and module screens
-
Session-based authentication that does not rely on biometric data, ensuring access is not dependent on physical capability
-
Copy and content protection measures that do not prevent screen reader access to legitimate content
-
Legal, compliance, and policy documents accessible directly within the app without requiring external navigation
5. FEATURES CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT INCLUDE:
-
OpenDyslexic font option — a toggle in accessibility settings that swaps all text to the OpenDyslexic typeface, which is designed to improve readability for users with dyslexia. User preference will be stored and remembered across sessions.
-
Colourblind modes — support for protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia through renderer-level colour adjustments, selectable in accessibility settings.
-
Audio speed control — the ability to adjust the playback speed of audio content within modules, supporting users who benefit from slower or faster delivery.
We are committed to shipping these features as a priority. If you require any of these accommodations in the interim, please contact us directly and we will work with you to find a suitable solution.
6. LOOPING VR PLATFORM ACCESSIBILITY
The Looping immersive VR platform has been designed to support a wide range of learner needs within the constraints of the VR medium. Accessibility in VR is an evolving area, and Looping is committed to leading best practice in this space.
7. MULTIMODAL LEARNING AND RESPONSE
A core accessibility strength of the Looping platform is its support for multiple modalities of learner engagement and response. Learners are not required to demonstrate competency through a single method. The platform supports:
-
Verbal responses — learners can respond to NPC prompts through spoken answers, processed in real time by AI-driven speech recognition
-
Physical interaction — task-based responses through controller-based interaction with the virtual environment
-
Selection-based responses — multiple choice and selection-based interactions for learners who may find verbal or physical responses challenging
-
Written or typed input where applicable within the scenario
This multimodal approach ensures that learners with speech differences, motor impairments, or communication challenges are not systematically disadvantaged.
8. ITERATIVE LEARNING MODEL
Looping's foundational design principle — that learners loop through content with guided support until they demonstrate capability — is itself a significant accessibility feature. Learners are not timed out, penalised for incorrect responses, or locked out of content after failure. Instead, the platform:
-
Provides immediate, constructive AI-driven feedback after each interaction
-
Allows learners to retry tasks and scenarios without penalty to their assessment record
-
Adapts NPC dialogue and prompts in response to learner performance
-
Supports learner skip functionality where a task cannot be completed after multiple attempts, logging the interaction appropriately for assessor review
9. SUBTITLES AND TRANSCRIPTS
The Looping platform includes subtitle and transcript support for learner interactions:
-
NPC dialogue is displayed as on-screen subtitles during immersive sessions
-
Scene briefings and task instructions are delivered with accompanying on-screen text
-
Transcript documents for key learning content are available within the module as viewable reference materials during the session
10. AUDIO AND VISUAL DESIGN
-
Audio cues are accompanied by visual indicators wherever possible
-
Scenario environments are designed to avoid unnecessary visual noise or strobing effects
-
Lighting and contrast within virtual environments are designed to support learner focus and reduce unnecessary cognitive load
11. SESSION RECORDING
All VR session activity is recorded within the Looping platform only. Looping does not access or record the device camera, microphone, or any external screen activity. On mobile and tablet devices used for the Looping demo, recording is limited to the Looping application environment only.
12. KNOWN VR ACCESSIBILITY LIMITATIONS
We acknowledge that immersive VR has inherent accessibility limitations that are not yet fully resolved across the industry, including:
-
Motion sensitivity — VR headset use may not be suitable for all learners. We support hybrid delivery models where learners can access content via non-VR modes where available.
-
Headset fit and comfort — standard VR headsets may not be suitable for all users. We recommend discussing alternative delivery options with your training provider if headset use presents a barrier.
-
Physical controller use — standard VR controller interactions require a level of hand and arm mobility. However, Looping is configured to automatically detect when controllers are not present or not in use, and will seamlessly switch to hand tracking using the headset's built-in near and far hand detection. This means learners who are unable to use physical controllers — including those with upper limb differences, limb loss, or reduced hand and arm mobility — can interact with the Looping environment directly using their hands, without any additional setup or configuration required. We are continuing to explore further alternative input methods to expand access beyond hand tracking.
Where VR presents a genuine barrier for a specific learner, we encourage educators and training providers to contact us to discuss alternative delivery arrangements.
13. FEEDBACK AND ACCESSIBILITY REQUESTS
We are always open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement. If you encounter an accessibility issue on our website, in the app, or within the platform, or if you have a specific accessibility requirement that is not currently addressed, please contact us directly.
We will do our best to respond promptly and work with you to find a practical solution.
